The brief/project
LDS were commissioned to carry out a full topographic survey of this plot for landscaping purposes, together with a full survey of the house (floor plans and external elevations) to assist with planned alterations
The solution
Our team of two surveyors carried out this survey over two days. One surveyor tackled the topographic survey by total station (undaunted by the rain!) and provided survey control. The other surveyor used a combination of laser scanners to measure the building. Our long-range TX8 scanner was used for the externals, with the smaller X7 used inside. There was even an outing for our small Faro scanner within the confines of the roof space.
The outcome
Our team and equipment worked in unison to provide the client with an abundance of information about their property. CAD drawings were issued to the client’s architects/designers allowing them to base their designs on solid data
