The brief/project
LDS were commissioned to undertake a measured building survey on this large country property through the client’s interior designers. The specification was to measure and draw full detail, including all electrical services, as well as to draw internal elevations of the entire property
The solution
Our X7 scanner was the obvious instrument of choice for this survey. Site work was completed in one day with team of three. As well as the 3D point cloud of data, we also produced a full photographic record of the services
The outcome
Floor plans of the property were drawn with all the services detail included. A total of 164 internal elevations spread across four floors were also produced, and these drawings provided to the client, all within the tight deadline. In addition, we also sent our viewable scan data to the interior designers, allowing them to view photo-quality interactive data – an invaluable visualisation resource
